This tea is organically grown!
Large tightly twisted and rolled leaves together with shorter curled leaf, glossy and thick with deep brown, blackened tones and some tan hints giving a definite lasting sweet honey fragrance. Real full aroma, rounded and smooth flowing, warming fragrances of honey sweetness at first, revealing deep ripe stone fruit notes and sweet caramel with hints of floral. A bright, amber tea soup with a high clarity, thick and smooth mouthfeel of decent strength giving pure and clean deep fruitiness, sweet caramel and honey notes leaving a long lasting mellow sweetness, no astringency at all.
Harvested in Summer from wild growing Changning large leaved tea species. Highly skilled, hand crafted traditional techniques are undertaken to create this exquisite tea. Each stage with great care - the freshly picked leaves are withered, rolled, fermented, dried and charcoal baked to enhance the natural flavours developing a caramel like sweetness and a depth of woody aromas.
