A stunningly fresh tea, The Nilgiri frost first flush. Beautiful large leaves gently twisted with red coppery tones and bright green bud. Giving complex high floral aromas of lily of the valley, grassy and citrusy notes. The tea soup is clean and vibrant honey colour with an elegant light body to the tea. Full of the intricacies of Nilgiri character with honey and florals up front and subtle and complex notes to follow, grassy straw like notes and malty touches balance the more fruity and floral tones.

Harvested Feburary’22 during mild frost, the young shoots are selected and undergo a longer withering with great skill and care to begin developing a balanced and complex profile. Grown from the CR6017 cultivar which has a thicker stem able to retain a greater amount of moisture than other cultivars, after withering the edges completely dry and during the rolling process they will flake creating the greener flavour and appearance.

Parkside Estate is situated on the eastern slopes of the Nilgiri hills, with plantations and the tea factory at an elevation of around 1860m. Parkside is the flagship estate of the Coonoor tea estates.
