Following traditional knowledge and techniques from ancient times.\u003cbr\u003eMade from seasoned bamboo, that has been taken from traditional Japanese thatched houses. The unique colour has naturally occurred over hundreds of years, enhanced by smoke from the hearth. The soot coloured bamboo is repurposed to create beautiful objects for tea ceremony, this style of bamboo is becoming a real rarity.\u003cbr\u003eAlmost all of Japan's tea whisk production is done in Takayama, Nara.\u003cbr\u003eTakayama has a long history of Chasen and tea ceremony utensil production going back to the Muromachi period (1333-1568).
