Approximate measurements: 15cm height x 10cm width (20cm incl.handle to spout) 800ml.
A fantastic teapot with a warm character, beautifully crafted red earthenware decorated with a deep earthy glaze and flowing yellow slip brushed with a single energetic loop creating a striking contrast of colours and satin shine.
The form is a traditional and very functional globe style balanced by the handle and prominent spout that pours perfectly. A delight to use for your daily tea ritual and such a joy to admire given their homely familiar feel.
Each handmade and unique, therefore slight variations in shape, size and glaze will occur. Handwash recommended.
Mike Parry produces a variety of functional slipware using red earthenware clay, creating work that has a real down to earth character informed by the traditional ceramic practices of the area. All produced from his home studio in Southeast Wales.
