The loosely pressed tea that has large twisted and curled leaves with a good distribution of bright silvery greenish tips and golden bud and leaves of dark umber, woodland hues with a pleasant high aroma. The wet leaves giving a complex blend of aromas and high sweetness, elderflower florals, fruits beeswax and deep wood notes. The tea soup brewing a warm gold with excellent clarity and rich, thick quality.Β
Pure, excellent quality with a unique character and flavour - a warmth of honey-like sweetness, deep woody notes and rounded fruits with a touch of balanced astringency, thick and rich character with a satisfyingly clean, balanced feeling, strong Qi developing with a returning sweetness and long lasting flavour.
From trees growing as part of natural mountain forest environments, harvested in Spring 2011 from uncultivated ancient trees, the leaf material has then been matured before pressing in 2016, traditionally processed and pressed in Yiwu, benefitting from excellent clean storage in Taiwan. Sourced by our friends Paolo & Una who specialise in sourcing rare and interesting Puerh with a focus on Qi, predominately selecting teas with excellent Taiwanese storage.
Preparation:
With care, prise the cake apart using a sharp knife or pick. Gently prise the required amount of leaves from the cake, taking care not the break the leaves. Then separate into loose leaves, and you're ready to brew.

Brew time 1st a quick rinse of leaves, pour away, 15-20 seconds + for infusions thereafter
Reinfuse leaves to taste 4 - 6 times +
