Iron Wash Lexden Mug by Popalini & Jezando

Approximate measurements: 10cm height x 8cm diameter. 470ml.

A delightful wood fired stoneware Mug, with a pleasing flowing form that’s so comfortable to hold. Round bellied at the base ascending gently to a flared lip with a large loop handle. Applied outside is an iron wash giving the mug a robust appearance with blending blackish, blue and purple tones. Inside is glazed with a dark shino with warming earthy tones of plum, an excellent coupling of colours that’s very satisfying. The surface has a gentle roughness from the granular inclusions in the clay and a soft shine. 

Fired in Kigbeare’s Anagama Kiln, Devon.

Each handmade and unique, therefore slight variations in shape, size and glaze will occur. Handwash recommended.
