This tea is organically grown!
Small, dark, fine leaves. Good red colour to the tea soup with a subtle floral aroma. Medium body and gentle strength to the tea, well rounded flavour with notes of stone fruits and a slight malty, smokiness.
Harvested by hand between March and May. The cultivated tea growing region sitting between the Yangxi river and the Yellow Mountains. Grown in Qimen county the western part of southeastern Huangshan City prefecture. A prefecture which also famously produces Maofeng Green tea and Huangshan Yellow teas. Black tea in Qimen has a fairly recent origins being first produced in the 19th Century from similar plant cultivars as Maofeng. The tea was massively popular with British and was used originally, in classic western blends. Traditionally used as part of English Breakfast and again present in Russian Caravan blends.

Tea 1 teaspoon (3g)
Water 100ºc // 300ml
Brew time 2-3 minutes
Reinfuse leaves to personal taste
