"Walking through the forest just after the rain has stopped. The sun heats the ferns and your boots kick up some loose bark. You're on your way to explore the caves behind the waterfall."

This tea has a super satisfying flavour, smooth body, and so easy drinking! The leaves are tightly twisted with wood bark tones and golden to orangey flecks. Earthy, damp aromas like that of moss with sweet undertones. The tea has benefitted from a fine clean storage giving a thick quality tea soup that’s dark in colour with reddish purple vibes going on. Full bodied and super smooth, earthy sweetness in the taste giving complex lasting flavours. Highly suited for drinking on autumnal evenings and brewing up as a winter warming cupful.

Harvested at around 1600m elevation using the Yunnan Big Leaf tea cultivar. Skilfully processed and pressed with care following traditional techniques in Spring’17.

This Old Bush Shou is from tea bushes around 80 years old, the bushes benefit from a moderate picking level, leaving a good amount of leaf for the trees future growth, growing is usually slow allowing for a greater development of quality nutrients in the leaves. Wokan Shan is the highest point in the Menglai township at 2,065m above level. Situated in Southwest Yunnan Province in a subtropical humid monsoon climate environment. This area is also part of the extended Nangun Natural Reserve.
