This tea is organically grown!
Large tight and lightly twisted leaves give a dry natural floral aroma. Once brewed the leaves have a deep fruit aroma with floral fragrances. A bright, thick quality tea soup golden yellow in colour. To taste, smooth and mellow minerality with a unique combination of distinctly buttery flavour, then follows floral and fruitiness. Giving a thick creamy mouthfeel and a long lasting flavour after drinking. A very unique and excellent quality tea!
Harvested in Spring, at approximately 800m elevation, picking 2-3 half matured leaves from the wild variety tea bushes of Phoenix Mountain more than 100 years old, lightly roasted and charcoal baked using the most traditional processes by Tea Master Song Lin & family.
'Dancong' meaning Single Bush, traceable back to a single bush/tree or group of bushes/trees.
Origins of the name ~ Duck Sh*t Aroma: The story goes that a tea farmer wanted to safeguard his best and most unique tea trees by telling others, the soil colour around the bushes was due to his ducks, this discourage people from stealing his tea.
