This tea is organically grown!
A combination of twisted and curled leaves with beautiful lush to deep green tones and a silvery downiness. Fine aromatic leaves, giving fresh grassy notes and hints of umami. Pale grass green tea soup that tastes soft and sweet, fresh sweet pea notes with a delicate lingering flavour.
Organically grown at a 400m elevation. Hand plucked in Spring using Qingxin Gan Zhong cultivar, a rare heritage variety. Harvested by a fourth generation Tea Master & family. After picking the leaves undergo light processing, at between 1-2% oxidised level, following traditional techniques with great skill, producing quality small batch tea in the style of Bi Luo Chun.
This tea garden is located approximately 20 minutes from central Taipei, within one of the oldest tea growing regions in all of Taiwan. Where tea trees are hillside grown above the Dahan River Plain and nestled by neighbouring mountains creating ideal conditions for the tea to flourish.
