Hand Thrown in Devon
Approximate measurements 10cm height x 10cm width. 300ml
This large yunomi holds comfortably in both hands due to its tapered form and height of its sides, it also has a good balance of weight and proportion. Crafted from dark iron Cornish stoneware clay with a shino glaze, that’s been wood fired. Creating light greenish greys under brushed washes of bronze tone and a large crackle within the smooth surface. This effect continues inside with a pooling of crackled glaze at the base. This particular yunomi is from a group firing at Sabine Nemet & Nic Collins’ wood fired kiln in Moretonhampstead.
Each handmade and unique, therefore slight variations in shape, size and glaze will occur. Handwash recommended.
