The very famous Wuyi Rock Tea - Da Hong Pao is today more often than not a blend of cultivars from Wuyi as the traditional mother trees are very rare, carefully balancing the blend’s profile for aroma, depth and flavour to highlight and combine the best qualities of each cultivar and reflect the true Wuyi character.

Here we present a delicious and balanced Da Hong Pao blend, bringing together the complementary characters of three carefully selected cultivars from Wuyi; 
Rou Gui (Cinnamon Oolong) Jin Mudan (Golden Peony) and Rui Xiang (Auspicious Fragrance). 

The dry leaves have a gentle spiciness from the Rou Gui that are balanced and complemented by the high fragrance of Jin Mudan & Rui Xiang’s character; sweet, floral, fruity notes and fragrance. A velvety rich and smooth tea soup, with a satisfying depth of flavour, skilfully balanced with complex notes peachy sweetness and gentle minerality that lasts. 

From 50 year old tea trees organically growing within the core Zhengyan area at around 500-600m. Harvested in Spring by the Chen Family. The leaves have then undergone a twice fired medium roast following traditional charcoal roasting techniques being carefully and skilfully processed in Wuyishan.
