A stunning wood fired stoneware Teapot, with a satisfying balanced curve form. Skilfully crafted with care and consideration. An excellent weight and proportion. A generous capacity of 700ml. Styled with a back handle and tapered single hole spout, with a great pouring action and a diamond finial on the lid, a wonderful detail. Applied outside is an iron wash giving it a robust appearance with blending blackish, blue and purple tones. Inside is ash glazed with a bright and contrasting blueish tone. The surface has a gentle roughness from the granular clay inclusions and a soft shine. A comfort to handle and a joy to use.
