Large curled leaves with a deep tone & bright flecks giving creamy & lightly roasted aromas. The tea soup has a rich golden colour, A smooth experience, silky mouthfeel with a gentle honey sweetness. Lasting on the palate. Reminiscent of fragrant Darjeelings.

A tea that's a product of the efforts made during the Japanese rule in Taiwan in the early 20th century, with the introduction of black tea cultivation in the Sun Moon Lake area in Nantou - furthered by the establishment of the Tea Experiment Station (TTES). The particular cultivar grown for making this tea is a TTES cross, combining an Indian var. assamica cultivar from Kyang (Nepal) & Hong Xin Da-Pan.

This tea is a hand picked harvest in Winter using the TTES #9 tea cultivar. The leaves have then undergone processing following traditional techniques by Tea Master Zeng & Family in Nantou County.
