Beautifully crafted curled and twisted leaves of woody brown tones and silvery buds with tobacco like aromas. The damp leaves reveal deep rich sienna hues warming honey aromas, rich, sweet citrus and candied notes with subtle floral notes, beautifully complex. The tea soup is pure with a high clarity and thick viscosity, amber in colour. Soft and smooth drinking experience with a balanced profile giving sweet citrus flavours with a high fragrance in the taste, a relaxed feel and long lasting flavour. An exquisitely high quality and complex experience. 

The young leaves of these tea bushes benefit from being bitten by the Greenleaf Hopper bug, this results in the leaves developing the unique and highly prized sweet honey notes This is only possible through natural organic cultivation.

Hand picked harvesting two leaves and a bud in Spring at an elevation of 650m, the leaves have then undergone processing following traditional techniques by the Yen family.

During our R&D trip to Taiwan (April’25) we visited the Sun Moon Lake area to explore the most beautiful organic tea gardens of Tea master Yen & family, we were shown 3 in total, full of a clean, rich & diverse environment of flora and fauna for the tea plants to thrive in, with even tea trees of 100 years age. Their dedication and enthusiasm for organic principles and cultivation is apparent in the the high quality of their teas and is a true inspiration. Their wish is to bring out everything that is within the leaves, every nuance, every variety with a offering rich in specialities.
