This tea is organically grown!

The loosely pressed tea that has large twisted and curled leaves with a good distribution of bright silvery greenish tips and golden bud and leaves of dark umber, woodland hues. The wet leaves giving a warming, forest floor aromas with camphor and leathery notes, deep wood notes. The tea soup brewing a deep and full, rose gold with great clarity and rich, thick quality.ย 

Pure and smooth feel revealing earthy mellow flavours and gentle florals, a dark character thatโ€™s refined and complex - deep woody notes with a touch of smoke and balanced astringency, thick and rich character with a satisfyingly clean, balanced feeling, strong, calming Qi developing with a lasting flavour.

From trees growing as part of natural mountain forest environments, harvested in Spring from uncultivated old trees, traditionally processed and pressed in Yiwu by Tea Master Lu Li Zhen benefitting from excellent clean dry storage in Taiwan. Sourced by our friends Paolo & Una who specialise in sourcing rare and interesting Puerh with a focus on Qi, predominately selecting teas with excellent Taiwanese storage.

Preparation:
With care, prise the cake apart using a sharp knife or pick. Gently prise the required amount of leaves from the cake, taking care not the break the leaves. Then separate into loose leaves, and you're ready to brew.

Water/Temp 100ml / 85ยบc
Brew time 1st a quick rinse of leaves, pour away, 15-20 seconds + for infusions thereafter
Reinfuse leaves to taste 4 - 6 times +
